Terms & Conditions
This document has been created to provide concrete terms for you to understand the implications of signing up for this event. All prospective participants must read it and mark/check the appropriate box on the sign-up page when filling out the form.
Drivers – Each driver must be in possession of an international driving license. If you’re a non-driving member of a team, you don’t need it.
Passengers – Any passengers that you wish to bring with you in your vehicle must be registered and paid as a team member. All passengers must be at least 18 years of age and must abide by all rules for drivers if they are going to drive at any time.
Descriptions – Any information on the Grand Moroccan Escapade contained within the official website and/or brochures is correct at the time of publishing. However, the content or format of the event may change slightly until the rally commences. Organizers will inform all the participants about these changes. The Grand Moroccan Escapade organization will not accept responsibility or liability for unforeseen events in the course of the rally that fall beyond the remit of its competence and influence. No personal loss or injury can be accepted from events resulting in the application of information from this website.
Payment – Payment for the Grand Moroccan Escapade is due in full upon sign-up. All payments are final and cannot be altered or substituted. Entrance fees may be refunded only if the rally is cancelled for any reason. Entry fees can also be transferred to the next Grand Moroccan Escapade if the applicant cannot participate in the upcoming event and informs the organizers at least 45 days prior to the flag off.
Teams – Teams may consist of any combination of one, two, three or four individuals.
Maintenance and Repair – Team members are solely responsible for any fuel costs, repairs, and any other costs associated with their event vehicle. Upon the instance of a breakdown, the teams will be responsible to procure the services of local mechanic, since the organizers will provide no repair services en route.
Accommodation – The organizers and managers of the Grand Moroccan Escapade will provide a list of accommodations or lodging options for every night during the trip but will not arrange accommodations or boarding. Each team can decide freely where to spend the night according to their budget, but there will be a base camp or hotel every day, where the organizers can be found. All accommodations must be arranged and paid for by the participant(s).
Sponsor Relations – Teams are required to respect the sponsors of the event and all sponsorship material presented during the course of the rally. Sponsorship material for official sponsors of the Grand Moroccan Escapade will be displayed on your team’s car. Participants can request not to display any form of sponsorship material on their vehicle, but will have to pay an additional €2000 with the entry fee. Local Interaction – As a team member in an international rally event, we strongly request to respect the various customs, traditions, and cultural differences that you may encounter at any point in your journey. Blatant disrespect for these customs, traditions, and cultural differences will result in the disqualification of the team from the competition category.
UPDATED COVID-19 REGULATIONS – Valid from May 17th, 2021
We know that COVID-19 has made traveling even more adventurous than it used to be. Regulations may change any minute, new outbreaks may happen. Nevertheless we want to give you the opportunity to travel with us. We also want you to feel confident in signing up with us. Therefore we have revised our cancellation and refund policy for new bookings after May 17th, 2021.
In case we have to cancel the event due to COVID-19 we offer you the following:
- A full payment credit valid for 2 years to any of our trips, including the trip you booked
- or we’ll issue you a full refund for the amount paid.
If you are unable to attend because of travel restrictions in your country or entry restrictions in a destination country due to your country of origin, we’ll offer the full payment credit valid for 2 years but no refund.
Travel documents, immunity certificates etc.
To enter certain countries you will be required to show an immunity certificate, a proof of vaccination, health insurance also covering a COVID-19 infection or other COVID-19- related documents. Obtaining these documents before the rally is your responsibility. If you are unable to provide these documents and will not be able to travel for this reason, we will not be able to provide you with a refund.
Quarantine and other safety measures
In certain countries you might be required to quarantine upon arrival and you might be required to quarantine upon your return to your home country. These regulations can change frequently, but are likely to be a part of travel for a while. If you decide that you do not want to comply with these regulations and/or can’t fit them in your schedule, we will not issue a refund.
Once you agree to a payment credit for one of our rallies, you are not entitled to a refund of your entry fee anymore.
